Space Shuttle Discovery
Final Flight as it lands at Dulles Airport
It was last minute. Had a meeting at 7:30 and I heard the shuttle was going to arrive around 10:00. I was only about 15 minutes away. I left at 9:00 thinking I'd have plenty of time to get to the Hazy Air and Space Museum and photograph the shuttle as it flew over Dulles. I met traffic at a standstill about 5 miles from my destination. Finally arrived at museum only to discover the lots were full. Found a spot to park near the on ramp. The ramp ended up being a great spot to shoot, even shot it landing. Oh yea, I decided to try out a new lens too, a 400 2.8. What was I thinking? A new lens I wasn't familiar with and a once in a lifetime shoot. O well here goes.......
